From the creator and director of ‘Hobo With A Shotgun’ comes Treevenge. Shot in the style of 70s & 80s exploitation films, this Christmas story tells a tale of sentient Christmas trees who seek vengeance on the families who hack down, decorate and humiliate Christmas trees each year. Carnage & Chaos ensues, including some of the most violent and twisted kills in recent times. Treevenge details the experiences and horrifying reality of the lives of Christmas trees. Clearly, for trees, Christmas isn’t the exciting “peace on earth” that is experienced by most. After being hacked down, and shipped away from their homes, they quickly become strung up, screwed into an upright position for all to see, exposed in a humiliation of garish decorations. But this Christmas will be different, this Christmas the trees have had enough, this Christmas the trees will fight back. Treevenge could be a short film about the end of days for Christmas trees, or perhaps, the end of humanity?
First time I’ve seen a baby getting its head crushed by a tree with no cutaway. Black humor mixed with hilarious spills and thrills makes TREEVENGE in my opinion, the best Christmas Horror story of all time. Winner of many awards from major Genre Film Festivals such as: Fantasia Festival, Toronto After Dark & NYC Horror Film Festival. Cameos from Trailer Park Boys cast, an incredible Fulci / Argento-esque score & BRUTAL yet hilarious violence lands Treevenge in many Horror fans hearts as a true Holiday classic.
