A must watch for any 80s horror fan, this oft-overlooked Stephen King adaptation sees Linda Hamilton wander into a small town populated only by children, followers of sinister young preacher Isaac Chroner (a legendarily creepy John Franklin). Soon she’s fleeing the youthful fanatics, who want to sacrifice them to their demonic deity, who, natch, lives in a cornfield.
Loads of goofy kills, Wicker Man style pagan pageantry and lots of real weird lookin’ kids make this a super fun time, and a recent Arrow Video remaster restores it to full 80s soaked nostalgic glory.
By The Numbers...
